　水稲は世界人口の半数以上にとっての主食であり、水田景観は我が国の原風景です。

　本研究室では、水田生態系の成り立ちとそこで進行する生化学反応の実態を、

土壌微生物学、水田土壌化学、地球環境問題の視点から研究しています。

　Rice is the staple food for more than half of the world's population, and the landscape of paddy fields is an original scenery in Japan.

　In this lab., we have been studying the whole shebang of paddy field ecosystems and the biochemical reactions that take place in them from the perspectives of soil microbiology, paddy soil chemistry, and global environmental issues.
