お米試食会 Rice tasting party

研究室の水田から収穫したお米の試食会を開催しました。ガス炊飯器で3升のご飯を炊き、農場で収穫した白菜の味噌汁とみんなで持ち寄ったおかずで一緒に食べました。みんな満腹満足です。

We held a tasting party for rice harvested from the laboratory's paddy field. We cooked three sho (approximately 4.5 kg) of rice in a gas rice cooker and enjoyed it together with miso soup made from Chinese cabbage harvested at the farm and side dishes everyone brought. Everyone was full and satisfied.

ハクサイ収穫調査 Chinese cabbage harvesting

附属農場の長期有機物肥料連用試験圃場で栽培していたハクサイの収穫調査を行いました。

We conducted a harvest survey of Chinese cabbage cropped in the long-term experimental field of organic fertilizers.

イネ収穫 Rice harvesting

10月24日に研究室の水田で育てていたイネの収穫作業を行いました。今年の夏も暑かったですが、例年と同じぐらいの出来でした。しばらく乾燥した後、脱穀、籾摺り、精米して試食会を行います。

We harvested the rice grown in our laboratory paddy field on October 24. Although this summer was hot, the yield was about the same as usual. After drying for a while, we will thresh, hull, and mill the rice. We will have a tasting party later.
